Reflective moments; glistening rails and refracted light
bouncing off 100 year old ceramic mosaics, set against
the mystery of darkened tunnels, are all immortalized
in Daniel Greene’s widely acclaimed Subway Series
paintings. Since 1990, Greene has found a source of inspiration
in the New York City subways, rendering their intricate
mosaics and aging walls with rich coloration and elegant
design. Greene’s subway images evoke a poetic world
of hidden beauty that millions of commuters pass through
every day.
Now, for the first time, several of the most exquisite
of these works are available as archival, high quality,
limited edition giclée prints. Greene has released
the Wall Street Collection, capturing the beauty
of his original paintings which focus on the Wall Street
areas of the subway. The images that are now available
come with a choice of three versions: full size and three-quarter
size on archival paper and full size on canvas. Each version
is limited to 50 impressions plus 10 Artists Proofs. Every
print is hand signed and numbered by the artist and comes
with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. |
